The cutting boards below are examples of some of the work that I have
done. In general, the smaller cutting boards are approximately 6 inches
by 9 inches and I find them appropriate for slicing a
tomato or perhaps some limes. The larger cutting boards are normally
9 or 10 inches wide by 14 to 16 inches long. Bread boards are a little
longer and some of the boards are little shorter. Each board is hand-crafted
and, most often, it it created using local (Adirondack) hardwoods.
Board finish and maintenance:
Each board is treated with several coats of a food safe oil. They can
be washed with warm water and a gentle soap. To restore any lost luster,
flood with a food-safe oil and allow it to penetrate. Wipe away the
excess.
