All of the furniture created by Northern Woodworks starts as rough-cut hardwood. Each board is hand-selected for its grain, color, and appeal. During construction, the hardwood is milled and then joined to best highlight its natural beauty. Most pieces have been constructed from cherry, a beautiful wood which naturally darkens to a rich, warm color with age and exposure to sunlight. Conrad also has significant experience working with other hardwoods such as: maple, mahogany, and walnut.
